Green Beauty Products New to My Routine

Are you a label reader when it comes to your personal care products?  Do you check to see if there are harmful ingredients like Parabens, Phthalates and Formaldehyde?  I wish I could say I am diligent when it comes to reading all the ingredients; but I’ve made it a resolution to start.  Gradually, I'd like to ease into using more skincare and hair care products from brands that fall into the "green" beauty category.  As a start, I've been using some products from 100% Pure Cosmetics and Briogeo Hair Care.

100% Pure Cosmetics

100% Pure is a natural and vegan cosmetic brand based in the USA.  Their skincare and beauty products are free of harmful toxins and consist of the highest quality products.  Their products are 100% free of artificial colors, fragrances and synthetic chemical preservatives.

100%  Pure Bright Eyes Mask

One of my favorite products from 100% Pure is their Bright Eyes Mask.

Best for: Puffiness, Dry and Puffy Eyes

Review:

I absolutely love this eye mask!  I was hooked after one use as it is very soothing and hydrating.  The texture of the mask is made from "hydrogel" which is composed from 95% organic aloe water and 5% plant cellulose.  Instantly, I felt like I was at the spa when I applied the mask. The weight of the mask was very comfortable and made me very relaxed.

How To Use:

Lift the mask out of the tray and leave on for 15-20 minutes.  I use this mask in the morning prior to my makeup application.  It preps my eyes before the foundation and concealer.

Ingredients:

Aloe Barbadensis (Organic Aloe Juice)*, Camellia Sinensis (Organic Matcha Green Tea)*, Organic Green Coffee*, Ilex Paraguariensis ( Organic Yerba Mate) Tea*, Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) Hydrosol, Sodium Ascorbate (Vitamin C), Caffeine, Sodium Hyaluronate (Hyaluronic) Acid, Plant Cellulose * Certified Organic

Briogeo Hair Care

Briogeo is a clean and natural hair care line that is inclusive of different ethnicities. Their formulas are 6 free, which means all products  are free from sulfate, silicones, parabens, phthalates, DEA and synthetic dyes.

Don't Despair, Repair Hair Mask

Best For:

Don't Despair, Repair is a hair mask for those with dry and damaged hair from the environment, coloring and chemically distressed hair.  It helps restore hydration and resilience and protects against future damage.

Review:

I've been using this hair mask for a month now and really enjoying it.  Imagine that salon feeling when you're getting your hair washed at the shampoo bowl.  It's very conditioning as it has an optimal blend of B-vitamins, rosehip and argan oils, algae and biotin.  My hair feels very soft and silky after using this mask and makes it easy to comb through.  The biggest improvement I noticed with my hair is the shine and vibrance.

How to Use:

Don't Despair, Repair should be used once or twice a week depending on condition of your hair.  It should be applied after shampooing and left in the hair for 10 minutes.  For best results, cover with a shower cap and rinsed after 30 minutes.
