Summer has officially arrived, and I couldn't be happier. It's always been my favorite season as I have nostalgic childhood memories. What I don't enjoy about summer is what the warm weather does to my skin. My skin gets dehydrated, my pores are enlarged and the texture becomes dull during the long hot scorching days. I've incorporated some new products to my beauty routine to help save my skin this summer.
My go to for sun protection is from 100% Pure cosmetics. I use the Everywhere Sun Stick SPF 30, in the mornings before my foundation. This pocket size sunscreen stick is no fuss; just glide it over your face and you're done. I typically have 10 minutes or less to paint my face, any time saver is a blessing. It has UVA/UVB protection, fragrance free and does not clog pores.
Once a week, I do a mini-facial to unwind and pamper myself a bit. After a quick cleanse, I use my Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask. It's a fast acting mask, that is fun to use as it is to say. It's a gel like consistency and foams up upon application. It fizzles, like when you shake up a carbonated soda; that's when you know it's working. It delivers a dose of oxygen, vitamin c and anti-free radicals; leaving my skin hydrated, renewed with a soft glow.
Two to three times a week, I alternate my facial cleanser with Rodan + Fields Micro-Dermabrasion Paste. I use it to exfoliate my skin to prevent dull looking skin and reduce the appearance of my pores. It's an oil free exfoliator made from sugar, salt granules and with vitamins C and E. I also use this before I apply my sunless tanner for my face.
